Paracetamol and pseudoephedrine are wonderful things.
Michael went to the chemist today and I am now on a course with the promise of feeling much better tomorrow!
Today was spent catching up with the Mums - Happy Mother's Day to all, and with lazing (and dozing) in front of the telly. It was also nice to catch up with Donna last night and Sharon this morning back home.
I had forgotten how funny some of the earlier movies are. The 1971 'Carry On At Your Convenience' is such a funny classic and with its theme line around the production of lavatories seems more than a little apt!! Gosh that Sid James was a funny man, not to mention Kenneth Williams, Charles Hawtrey and Joan Sims. And tonight we are watching 'The Da Vinci Code' as a prelude to the premiere later this week over here of the long-awaited 'Angels and Demons'. (Meredith I hope you have finished reading it by now!)
Had some really nice fresh soup - Tomato and Basil, and Home Farm Vegetable and Ciabatta bread followed by sugar and lemon pancakes for dinner. The lemons were almost unimaginable so tart and fresh and full of juice - obviously not local - they were from Lisbon, Portugal. Wow, the citrus from the spanish areas are just so wonderful. Anyone got a Eureka Lemon planted at home yet? What? You think I am kidding? NOT!
The sun is just settling toward the horizon here at 9:26pm and Michael has just got these shots for me from outside our unit. Until tomorrow . . .
